Assessments at Mind & Soul Psychology

Tailored Assessments for Every Individual

No two people are the same, so why should assessments be? Our assessments are fully individualised for children, adolescents, and adults, exploring areas such as ADHD, ASD, learning differences, cognitive strengths, trauma, and neurodivergent traits.

We can mix and match assessment types to suit your needs, giving a complete picture of strengths, challenges, and patterns. The result? Clear, practical recommendations to support success at home, school, work, and everyday life.

    ADHD Assessments

Understand your brain. Reclaim your focus.
Our comprehensive ADHD assessment for adults helps you make sense of lifelong patterns — attention challenges, impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, or burnout.
Using gold-standard clinical interviews, validated rating scales, and cognitive testing when appropriate, we provide diagnostic clarity and practical insights you can apply immediately.
Each assessment includes a collaborative feedback session, tailored recommendations, and a clear report for you, your GP, psychiatrist, or workplace.

Designed to help you understand how your brain works — not what’s “wrong” with it.

    Total Assessment Cost: $1400

  • Autism Assessments

At Mind & Soul Psychology, our Autism assessments are comprehensive, neuroaffirming, and evidence-based. We use gold-standard diagnostic tools such as the ADOS-2, MIGDAS, and validated clinical interview structures to explore developmental history, neurocognitive functioning, and social communication patterns.

Our goal is to provide diagnostic clarity that honours the individual’s authentic neurotype — identifying strengths, challenges, and support needs in a way that promotes self-understanding, wellbeing, and access to appropriate interventions.

A neuroaffirming approach that honours who you are — not how well you “fit in.”

    Total Cost: $2500

    Cognitive & IQ Assessments

Curious about your thinking, problem-solving, or learning strengths? Cognitive assessments provide insight into how you think and learn, helping with educational planning, career decisions, and personal growth.

Using the WAIS-IV (for adults), we assess cognitive functioning across reasoning, working memory, and processing speed.

Our reports translate data into meaningful insights for home, school, or future planning — written in clear, accessible language.

Turning complex data into practical understanding.

    Psychological Assessments

Are you seeking a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviour beyond standard therapy sessions? Our psychological assessments provide a thorough exploration of mental health and personality, including experiences of anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and neurodivergence. These assessments offer detailed insights to support self-understanding, guide tailored strategies, and inform personalised treatment or support planning.

Cost varies depending on assessments used.

Individualised & Neurodivergent Focused Assessments

Every individual is unique. At Mind & Soul Psychology, assessments are not one-size-fits-all—they can be combined and tailored to suit the specific needs of each client, whether child, adolescent, or adult.

Our personalised approach allows us to explore multiple areas such as ADHD, ASD, learning differences, cognitive strengths, personality, trauma, and other neurodivergent traits. By understanding the full profile of each client, we provide clear, practical recommendations that support success at home, school, work, and in everyday life.

Whether you are seeking insight into learning and development, emotional wellbeing, or neurodivergent patterns, our comprehensive assessments give you the clarity and guidance needed to thrive.

    ADHD Assessments

Supporting children to thrive — not just “try harder.”

Our child ADHD assessments help families and schools understand a child’s unique attention, learning, and self-regulation profile.
Through developmental interviews, behaviour ratings, and cognitive testing, we explore how your child’s brain processes information and manages focus, emotion, and activity levels.
The result is a warm, evidence-based understanding that supports effective intervention planning, classroom adjustments, and a more confident, supported child.

Empowering families and teachers to work with the child’s brain — not against it.

    Total Assessment Cost: $1700

  • Autism Assessments

Our autism assessments use best-practice diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS-2, WISC-V, ADI-R style interviews, developmental history review) to explore communication, social understanding, sensory experiences, and unique strengths.
For children, assessments may include cognitive testing and school input. We take a trauma-informed, masking-aware approach that values lived experience.
Each report provides clear, compassionate recommendations for support, self-understanding, and access to NDIS or workplace adjustments.

Gold-standard assessment grounded in empathy, evidence, and neurodiversity-affirming care.

    Total Cost: $2500

    Cognitive & IQ Assessments

Insight into how your child learns best.

We use standardised tools like the WISC-V to understand how your child processes information, thinks, reasons, and performs.

Our reports offer clear recommendations for school adjustments, Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), and enrichment or support strategies.

Because understanding how a child learns is the first step toward helping them succeed.

    Education & Learning Assessments

Evidence-based clarity for reading, writing, or maths challenges.

We assess literacy, numeracy, and written expression skills using gold-standard tools to determine whether difficulties align with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, or Dyscalculia.
You’ll receive a detailed, strengths-based report outlining diagnosis, learning adjustments, and targeted support strategies for school or university.

Clarity brings confidence — for students, parents, and educators alike.

Our Assessment Process

At Mind & Soul Psychology, we aim to make the assessment process as clear and supportive as possible. While each assessment is tailored to the individual, the general process includes:

  1. Intake & Initial Consultation – We begin with a detailed discussion to understand your concerns, history, and goals for the assessment. This helps us tailor the assessment to your needs.

  2. Assessment Session(s) – Depending on the type of assessment, sessions may include interviews, questionnaires, observation, and standardised testing. Sessions are conducted in a supportive, comfortable environment.

  3. Detailed Assessment Analysis – Following your assessment, the clinician conducts a comprehensive analysis of all results, integrating observations, testing, and history to produce a detailed, personalised report with practical recommendations.

  4. Feedback Session – Once the assessment is complete, we provide a feedback session to discuss the results, insights, and recommendations. This is an opportunity to ask questions and explore next steps.

  5. Diagnostic & Assessment Report – You will receive a comprehensive, clearly written report summarising the findings, interpretations, and practical recommendations for home, school, work, or other relevant settings.
