1. What issues do you help with?
At Mind & Soul Psychology, we offer support for a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity/Impulsivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), stress, burnout, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. We also provide psycho-educational and diagnostic assessments. Therapy is tailored to your individual needs - whether you're navigating something new or exploring long-standing patterns.
2. Do you work with children, teens, and adults?
Yes, we work with people of all ages. Our approach is developmentally informed, meaning we adjust our methods to meet the needs of each age group. Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, a teen looking for someone to talk to, or an adult exploring therapy or assessment, we’re here to help.
3. What is the cost of a session?
Standard session fee: $230
With a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP): $131.03 out-of-pocket
(Includes a Medicare rebate of $98.97)
All sessions are 50 minutes.
Please note: We do not offer bulk billing.
4. Can I get a Medicare rebate?
Yes, if you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you're eligible for a Medicare rebate of $98.97 per session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
5. Do you accept NDIS clients?
Yes, we accept self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients for therapy and assessments. Please contact us to discuss your individual support needs and funding.
6. How do I book an appointment?
You can book directly through our online booking portal or get in touch via our contact form or SMS or call. If you're unsure where to start, we're happy to help guide you to the most suitable first appointment.

7. What should I expect in my first session?
The first session is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what you'd like support with. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is your space and we move at your pace.
8. What is your therapy approach?
We use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT and Schema-Informed Therapy, grounded in a trauma-informed and neuroaffirming lens. Our style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. We aim to create a space that feels safe and empowering.
9. How long will I need therapy?
This varies for each person. Some people come for a few sessions with a specific goal, while others value ongoing support. We'll check in regularly and work together to determine what feels right for you.

Our space is private, welcoming, and easy to access, with free on-site parking.
11. Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, online telehealth sessions are available if you prefer or are unable to attend in person. They’re just as effective and can be a great option for busy schedules or remote access.
12. What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 business hours’ notice for cancellations. This allows time to offer your spot to someone on our waitlist. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur the session fee.
13. I’m nervous about starting therapy. Is that normal?
Absolutely. It’s completely normal to feel unsure or anxious about beginning therapy. Our goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. You don’t have to have everything figured out - just a willingness to begin.
